We are about to thrive through a heavy and self reflective period from August 31-Sept 2. Hopefully by the end of it we will have not only cleaned up our digestion and increased out immunity and health, we will have developed greater self worth and lasting habits. Although is a physical cleanse, most of you know by now that the physical is merely a reflex of the emotional spiritual.
The transit we are working with during the period of the cleanse is Venus oppose Saturn and Pluto. While Venus is the planet of adornment and beauty, as it begins to face off with Saturn and Pluto we witness structural and oppressive powerplays against relational dynamics and equality. We will see this heat up in the media and politics. An example of this would be when Venus went rX this year May-June and our entire world was sorting their position on racial dynamics. On a personal level it will bring challenge to our self worth - A straining to relationships and a feeling of our worth being challenged by institutional standards and oppression.
We are inching the first steps of a revolution. Our Values (Venus) need to be fortified. In what ways do we uphold the oppressor? Do we low-key adorn ourselves for the gaze of the oppressor, even when those relationships causes us pain? Do you inflict oppression on others because of the toxicity of standards that you set for yourself?
As we experience Venus oppose Saturn and Pluto Aug 30-Sept 2, our saving grace is that speedy and effective Mercury in Virgo will be in a supportive contact to all three of these planets. This means that the virtues of concept and re-framing can provide a new approach to toxicity in our personal values. Sun trine Uranus throughout this period also ensures a potential for inspired action.
How do we work with this energy?
As we ingest food, our body automatically does the job of sorting the food matter into waste, water and nutrients, which happens in the intestines (the Virgo body parts). The job of decolonizing is a very personal process and it first starts with analyzing the self. We must fully process our ideologies to make sure they are reflected in our actions. But truly, effective and enduring action (Mars) is only achieved when we are aligned to authentic value (Venus). There is no activism without a grounded Venus - Solid values that are lived, felt and instilled in the heart.
Strengthening the Virgo body parts this month, the spleen, the digestive organs and the liver will all help the process of clarity. Our ability to digest is not only physical but mental and spiritual. Let’s make new mental pathways - strengthen our dedication to authenticity and continue our work of decolonization - body mind and spirit.
Our group cleanse is pretty simple: Minimize foods that are difficult to digest and incorporate certain fruits and vegetables to your diet for these few days. The diet is paired with evening breathwork which will relax the nerves and tonify the digestion.

Notes on this cleanse:
Live your life and don’t feel the need to be dramatic and fully fast. I believe in having the right foods as a way to maintain health. This is a cleanse where you can still have 3 meals a day, but we will be minimizing sugar, dairy, meat and gluten.
The recipes/grocery list that I will share includes a juice to drink in the morning, a snack between meals and a vegetable dish that can be a great side on all your meals with cooked foods.
Grocery List!
1 papaya
1 container of nut milk of your choice
2 large grapefruit
1-2 bags of red grapes
1 bunch of parsley
1 knob of ginger
A few knobs of raw tumeric if you can find it
1 large cabbage
1 bunch of kale
2 leeks
Cleanse Menu Items:
First thing in the morning to stimulate the digestion:
Parsley/Grapefruit Juice
To be taken in the mornings for all three days.
Can be prepared all at once or in two batches. I make in a blender as I prefer the fiber.
Blend or juice 1 grapefruit to 1/2 bunch parsley - This amount can be enough for two servings.
Add peeled ginger and tumeric
Add filtered water to reduce thickness.
Lovely options: Add flavor and digestive enzymes with pineapple. Can also add chrysanthemum flowers to reduce stress or a few goji berries to support energy level.
Eat with your regular meals for high fiber content, reducing inflammation and to support detoxification.
2. Cabbage Kale Leek Saute`
Slice and clean leeks (only use white bottom part)
Roughly chop cabbage, kale leaves (remove stem)
Add oil to large pan and saute` leeks until fully cooked, option to add a small amount of chopped ginger to help with digesting greens.
Add cabbage and kale and cook down
Season with salt and pepper. Can also add soy sauce/liquid aminos and ground tumeric. Nutritional yeast is a great flavor addition to this dish. Can also add herbs like culinary sage/thyme/rosemary/cayenne for added immuno-stimulating effect though plain flavors taste nice with this dish.
Cute smoothie maybe with lunch or dinner on day 2 or 3. Powerful digestive tonic, great for skin
3. Papaya Smoothie
Handful of chopped papaya
Almond milk to taste
optional a few chunks of pineapple
During the cleanse, try to completely minimize dairy, sugar, meats, gluten and deep-fried foods. These are difficult to digest and cause inflammation to the digestive organs. If you have a hard time letting go of breads and meats, eat them during lunch so that your body will have time to process them. To heal the digestive organs, minimizing heavy foods after 7pm is necessary. So instead of reaching for an oily/salty late night snack, eat as many red grapes as you like! They are full of heart healing compounds, fiber and antioxidants. They will support a healthy bowel movement, which is what we are aiming for during this cleanse. If you have a practice of intermittent fasting, this would also be appropriate for this cleanse as long as your meals are balanced.
Make sure you are eating proteins! Eat balanced meals. I am not giving you menus for the entire 3 days. Incorporate your lifestyle into this cleanse and just reduce the crappy foods and switch out with these cleanse items. There is planning to do on your end!
