NEW MOON IN VIRGO

A paradoxical and existential New Moon that gives a light window into 2024 & 2025.

In the cultural narrative of PURITY which greatly stems from religious programming, we seek to perform goodness and perfection in order to be in right relationship with life. While i do not agree with this, it’s undeniable that this concept is multidimensionally pervasive and it takes a keen eye to avoid being impacted by this lens. When this idea of purity gets overlaid on our bodies, on our sexual expression and asserts that our birthright is steeped in fault, that same religiosity becomes a viscous cycle of playing hot potato with wrong doing. 

It would be an oversimplification to say that this new moon is about just about getting organized. With immense outer planet focus and mercury at a complete standstill, this lunar cycle promises a deepening of perspectives that look outwardly at the bigger picture at large. 

One question that sticks out at that moment is: ✨what is there to organize our lives around while playing into a broken system? 

When we feel like we try our very best to do good and it just doesn’t seem like enough, what are we actually organizing ourselves around?

This lunar cycle will not answer this question fully, but I would bet it has you thinking about what is “right”. 

We are in a period of human history where we understand that the idea of good is subjective.

A word that describes the energy of this year and next year is CONTROVERSIAL. What is right for you is likely not what is right for another. 

Innovation is vital in workings that feel relevant & alive. 
Innovation, much like the experience of wholeness, is also a flowing balance between the inner and the outer. This lunar cycle feels as though it is asking us to crack the code of a changing world in order for us to find smoother daily workings. Don’t get too hung up on this as it honestly seems like a big ask lol I’m choosing to wait til mercury starts moving forward this weekend to get a better grasp 😂

I will be writing a lot more on this later, but I wanted to introduce the concept that as Neptune closes out its approx 15 year journey through Pisces between 2024-2025, it represents a cultural shift in the ideals of goodness/virtue. A reminder that these planetary cycles are NOT conceptual. Neptune in Pisces is responsible for the uptick and cultural obsession with healing, the saturation of esoteric practitioners, the ‘discovery’ of science being able to define the ways of the spirit and the fantastical thinking that has inspired the trends of cosplay, anime craze and the major growth in AI. As Neptune will reach the last degree of Pisces in 2024 we are witnessing the ceiling of one of the most profound & fascinating planetary cycles of our lifetime. Does the ceiling burst? What comes next? 

To me, the lunar cycle this month, which provokes existential questions, has us lightly tuning into Neptune in Pisces’ bizarre way of making us question (or rather augment) reality. Its like a microdose to what will be moving through us in 2024/2025 🧐
