Why do we even learn about healing, why do we do the inner work? It’s for moments like these when we need to call upon our own inner faculties to keep our resilience. Not only for ourselves, but so that we can show up for our communities and the movement in the best ways that we can.
Several planets in Aquairus during the month of Jan and Feb 2021 will have us be more scattered, cerebral and potentially ungrounded. There’s nothing like a healthy amount of root vegetables to help us with focus and being in our bodies. Beets are really helpful as they build the blood and keeps us from fatigue and improper circulation.
Here’s my favorite way to have perfect root vegetables that maintain their moisture. As winter can be a time where we may tend toward dehydration (another important part of circulation), I prefer to try to keep the moisture in my vegetables. By wrapping your roast vegetables in foil/parchment paper it helps them maintain their moisture while adding that nice oven roasted flavor.
Perfect Sweet Potatoes:
-Preheat oven to 350
-Wash and clean your sweet potatoes, let dry for a few mins
-Wrap each sweet potato in a paper towel
-Completely each sweet potato in a piece of foil
-Bake in oven for 1.5 hrs until soft (depends on size)
FLAVORFUL herb sauce:
-1 bunch cilantro
-knob of fresh tumeric, sliced thinly or minced
-knob of ginger, sliced thinly or minced
-1 chopped shallot and/or 3 green onion sliced
-1 mild jalapeño minced
-5 tblspn vegetable oil (i used safflower)
-splash of apple cider vinegar
-pepper
-salt
-optional dash of cayenne or chili flakes
-optional sesame oil
Perfect Roasted Beets:
-Preheat over to 350
-Wash and clean your beets
-Completely wrap in foil (or make a parchment pocket)
-Bake in oven for 1.5 hrs until soft (depends on size)
-Skin should rub right off
Can be used for anything! Salads, sauces, soups, etc
AWESOME way to use beets is for pre-workout/post-workout since they are rich in nitrates.
1 heaping tblspn of organic beet powder added to your protein power to help with the digestive process and to increase stamina naturally!
Another example of this would be to add beet powder to watermelon juice as a nice hydrating and helpful drink for the circulation. You can add ginger to make it even more on brand.

If you can find chrysanthemum tea, this is a wonderful and tasty herbs for a healthy circulation of energy in the body. It is one of the most commonly prescribed herbs in Chinese medicine for stress. Highly recommened. If you are lazy to drink tea, I would then recommend this tincture by Willows Touch which contains chrysanthemum and other nervous system herbs.
