BEING RESPONSIBLE TO KNOWLEDGE
This concept has come up as I just finished recording a pocast episode about what it actually means to work with esoteric systems of insight and information.
I thought I would lay out a few key points in what it means to be responsible to knowledge.
In an age where information is freely given, what is the exchange that is occurring with so much access to information?
The idea of being accountable to the information that you receive is such a foreign concept in world where information is on overload. We receive an exponential amount as we scroll on our social media feeds or watch television. We filter out what does not appt whether it’s an ad for soap, a friends new post about their trip to Portugal, or depressing news. Your attention is currency in the eyes of this modern era. With our highly curated feeds, we have access to deepen into our chosen niches and subcultures.
Our brains are constantly processing at exponential rates because of our phones. Is more information better? Is more stimuli making us smarter, efficient or more present?
We have plenty of information about international news, by the minute updates about the genocide in Gaza, does that make us more active? Does knowing what is happening equate to being an active participant in what is happening? How can we be responsible to what we know?
With so much focus on knowing, does that not mean that we have even that much more to tend and caretake?
Genuine questions as Pluto’s ingress into Aquarius is going to TIP THE SCALES with the way that we engage information and technology.

This conversation is inspired by the Soul Shine retreat that me and Yael of Kundalini Alchemy are hosting on Jan 19, 2024 in the Bay Area. The link between food, nourishment and ancestral healing is something that I think about often as a chef. Check out this episode in the link below.
